No eligible rate right now
What moved since the previous stored observation, and over the past week. Every line names both dates it compares.
Each bank's latest stored rate against its previous one. The two dates can be more than a day apart, so each line states the gap.
201 of 267 series compared moved. 333 were unchanged. Showing the 12 largest.
Each bank's latest stored rate against its last observation from a week or more earlier. A bank with no observation that old is not listed.
310 of 266 series compared moved. 222 were unchanged. Showing the 12 largest.
The newest rate from these banks failed an ingestion check. It is kept for review but not compared above, so any line above for the same bank uses its last rate that passed.
The gap between the parallel market buying rate and the official central bank rate on the same day. Both figures are unofficial and unregulated.
1 of 1 series compared moved. 0 were unchanged.
Staple food prices, each period against the one before it. These publish monthly and lag by several weeks, so every line names the two periods it compares.
Every line compares two rate observations we have stored, each with the date it describes and the time we captured it. Nothing here is estimated, filled in, or carried forward.
We report what moved and by how much. We do not say why: the data holds the two numbers and nothing else, so any reason would be invented rather than observed.
Bank rates publish once a day, so a comparison can span more than one day when a source skips one. Each line names both dates and states the gap, so a move across a gap is never shown as a same-day move.
When there is no earlier observation to compare against, there is no line at all. We do not compare against zero, against a nearby bank, or against a figure from another pairing.
When a bank revises a figure for a day we already hold, we keep the revised figure and mark the line as revised, with the value it replaced. Rates that fail our outlier checks are listed as withheld instead of being compared.
Commodity prices come from the World Food Programme and publish monthly, running up to about six weeks behind. They are reported by period and never as today's price.
This covers commercial bank transactional rates, the parallel market against the official rate, and staple commodity prices. Bank cash rates are not included.
